King Estate is located southwest of Eugene, Oregon near the town of Lorane. While just south of the Willamette Valley, the vineyard's microclimate makes it perfect for growing the fine pinot noir and pinot gris the winery has become famous for. Over 1000 acres of certified organic vineyards are blessed with cool northwest breezes that moderate the temperatures allowing the grapes to ripen slowly
Ed King III discovered the property in 1991 while looking for hay. The property seemed like a good place for a vineyard and he and his father, Ed King jr. purchased the existing ranch shortly after.
The winery and grounds are nothing short of spectacular with the winery and visitor center patterned after a French chateau.
The wines of King Estate have found their way to our dinner table for years. Our first visit to the winery was over ten years ago and we have been coming back ever since.
Taste for yourself why we list King Estate among the top picks year after year.
